About Pixelcadabra
Pixelcadabra is an independent guide to home laser printers. We help you pick one that suits the pages you actually print.
Most of our readers print letters, forms, tax papers, recipes and the odd school project. They want a printer that works when they need it and doesn't waste money on supplies.
What we cover
We cover black and white laser printers, laser all-in-ones that scan and copy, and color laser and LED printers from Brother, HP and Canon.
We also explain the upkeep: how long toner lasts, what a drum warning means, how to clear up streaks and which paper a laser printer can take.
What we do
We read the specs, features and maker information for every printer we cover. We also look at what owners often report after months of use.
Then we write it up in plain words, with clear picks and side-by-side comparisons. Our How we research page explains the steps.
What we don't do
We don't make or sell printers, toner or paper, and no brand pays us to rank its products.
We aren't affiliated with Brother, HP, Canon, Epson or any other printer maker. We don't claim to have tested every printer ourselves.
How we earn money
Some links on this site go to stores like Amazon. If you buy through them, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.
That never changes which products we pick. Our affiliate disclosure has the details.
